REFERENCE LETTERS

Three letters of reference are required for each applicant.  Applicants should select references who have a good understanding of the applicant’s academic history, goals, and direction, and can speak to the applicant’s abilities and potential.  Applicants should notify the individuals they are requesting letters of reference from as soon as possible to provide them adequate time to write a strong letter.

The reference letter should provide information that supports and confirms information provided in the application questions and the essays.  Applicants may wish to share a copy of their essays to their referees following with the automated request message to further provide further background on the applicant’s interest in the NMSFP.

The applicant is responsible for ensuring that the letters of reference are submitted prior the application deadline.
